MANHATTAN, Kan. – Following a strong final round at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, the Kansas State men's golf team returns to action at the Spartan Collegiate at Sea Island, held at the par-72, 7,060-yard Plantation Course in Sea Island, Georgia.

The Spartan Collegiate will tee off on Monday with the first and second rounds, followed by Tuesday's final round. Both days will start with an 8 a.m. (ET) shotgun start.

Sea Island is located about 75 miles north of Jacksonville, and the Plantation Course at Sea Island is home to the RSM Classic, a stop on the PGA Tour where K-State golf alum Robert Streb has had previous success. Streb has won two RSM Classic trophies in the past six years, including this past November when the 2009 graduate edged out Kevin Kisner during the second hole of a sudden death playoff.

The Wildcats' last action was just over two weeks ago, when K-State secured seventh place at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate. Junior Will Hopkins tied for ninth, a career best, while also shooting the lowest 54-hole score of the season for K-State (211).

"We are looking forward to playing Sea Island this weekend," head coach Grant Robbins said. "Being able to play against a strong field at a PGA Tour venue like Sea Island is a great opportunity for us. Like any course, we are going to need to drive it well and be sharp with our iron play and short game."

K-State will send Hopkins in the one slot, followed by sophomore Tim Tillmanns, who returns to the lineup after missing the Mobile Bay Collegiate with an illness. Freshman Luke O'Neill slots behind him, and senior George Clarke and sophomore Riccardo Leo round out the Wildcat lineup.

Joining K-State in Georgia is a competitive field, including Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Memphis, Miami, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Ohio State.

"I feel like we have had a very good week of practice and the guys are ready to go," Robbins said. "We just need to trust our preparation, stay focused on the process one shot at a time, and as we always say, 'keep climbing.'"
