STATS/NOTES | SCORING | ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team is ready to get their second spring start underway. The eight-person contingent is at Sea Palms Resort on St. Simons Island, Ga., completing this week at the Sea Island Invitational.
The five starters all earned their way into the lineup over a 36-hole qualifying event with the next three on the scoreboard getting a shot to make their mark as individuals. It is one of the more competitive roster opportunities in recent memory.
A.J. Lintunen and Oliver Simonsen are the only Mocs to start every event with Leon Bader making his way back in after one tourney off. Newcomers Paul Conroy and Gabe Hunter get their shot. Conroy was in the lineup at Hilton Head last time out while Hunter makes his first start.
The individuals are Alex Cobb, Dominic Jones and Connor Nolan. Cobb was low man on Hilton Head tying for 30th. Nolan started the first four events and was runner-up to start the spring in Georgia Southern's Sharkey Individual tournament. Jones started each fall event so there's been plenty of opportunity to for this roster to make its mark thus far.
The three-day, 54-hole event starts with Thursday with 18 holes per day culminating in a final 18 Saturday. Click the scoring link above to follow scores and access pairings when available.

3 Notes to Know
- The Mocs look to improve on their opening event. The squad was in the running after 36 holes only to see a rough final 18 drop them back in the pack.
- This event is hosted by Western Carolina. The last visit to a Catamounts tournament was also in Georgia resulting in a clean trophy sweep. The squad won by 16 shots at the J.T. Poston Invitational in the fall with A.J. Lintunen getting his first collegiate win by one over Oliver Simonsen. Matt Smith (5) and Connor Nolan (T6) also ended up in the top 10.
- It's Gabe Hunter's first start for the Mocs, but not his first as a collegian. He started his career at Utah State last year before transferring and joining the lineup in January. He averaged 75.45 strokes per his 11 rounds with the Aggies with one top 10 ending sixth at the Pat Hicks Invitational.
